Not that you'll enjoy reading this, but no one reads it, and it ain't there for a public to enjoy.

This week’s Popbitch gives some publicity to the founder of the Crips’ impending death penalty, and the Governator’s chance to give him clemency. It just reminded me to say this once again to anyone who will listen: if you claim Christianity, then I presume you’re claiming to follow this “Judge not, lest ye be judged.” It’s for God to judge, not us, and that means that we don’t get to say that someone derserved what they got, and we don’t get to punish them for what they did. Deterrence is a justification that works for laws, but “Vengeance is mine, saieth the Lord.” Only God gets to punish.

Thanks

I should be working, but I was reading through the archive of the excellent Waiter Rant instead and came across his post from the time of the tsunami. I hadn’t donated to earthquake relief in Pakistan yet, though I had meant to do so. No one reads this, but if you are doing then go and do so.
