That the BBC needs huge amounts of reform is kinda evident. I switched off a debate on R4 the other day in which someone had accepted that the only way of campaigning against a politician was ridicule, but was arguing with the proponent of said premise that people ought to be ridiculing policies, rather than David Cameron’s drug use. That standards droop similarly at ITV may or may not be news; or maybe they are in fact noticing the real modernisation of the Tory party…
